Award-winning Russian filmmaker Sergei Bodrov (Prisoner of the Mountains) illuminates the life and legend of Genghis Khan in his stunning historical epic, MONGOL- THE RISE TO POWER OF GENGHIS KHAN. Based on leading scholarly accounts, MONGOL- THE RISE TO POWER OF GENGHIS KHAN delves into the dramatic and harrowing early years of the ruler who was born as Temudgin in 1162. As it follows Temudgin from his perilous childhood to the battle that sealed his destiny, the film paints a multidimensional portrait of the future conqueror, revealing him not as the evil brute of hoary stereotype, but as an inspiring, fearless and visionary leader. MONGOL - THE RISE TO POWER OF GENGHIS KHAN shows us the making of an extraordinary man, and the foundation on which so much of his greatness rested: his relationship with his wife, Borte, his lifelong love and most trusted advisor.

Cashback site - GreasyPalm

The next cashback site I am going to tell you about is GreasyPalm, one of the three sites I consider to be the best in the cashback genre.

GreasyPalm works in the same way as Quidco, before you make your online purchase login to the site and follow their link - you will then be awarded cashback on your purchase.

GreasyPalm in my experience generally has lower rates for most merchants than Quidco, which is why Quidco rates above it - as that is the most important factor. But where it loses some points for that, it gains a lot for several other unique features -

Firstly - GreasyPalm holds a lot of competitions and contents with really great prizes.
Secondly - There is a lot more user interaction on GreasyPalm, people are able to leave comments about the merchants, transactions and also even post their own 'hot deals'
Thirdly - There are ways to make extra money on GreasyPalm - such as submitting your own hot deals and taking a small % of the revenue. Plus GreasyPalm is one of the few cashback sites that offers a referral program, you can earn £7 for each person you refer who earns £15.
Finally - They do have several merchants on their books that other cashback sites, including Quidco, do not...such as Amazon.

Overall I love the look, feel, style and features available at GreasyPalm and this is a cashback site absolutely worth joining - if only they got those rates up a little, they'd easily be the biggest and best.

So, why not go ahead and sign up today :)

Become a Showcase Insider.

Another great way to get free cinema tickets is to sign up to become an 'Insider' at your local Showcase cinema. You simply register on the website and are then sent a membership card via post, then you will start to receive emails inviting you along to free preview screenings.

If you want to go simply print off the ticket and turn up with your insider card. Hand over your ticket at the box office and show your card if asked (I have been on several of these now and never had to show my card, but always wise to have it with you), you'll be given tickets and in you pop.

To become a Showcase Insider simply register your details here...and then sit back and wait for the invitations to start coming your way. Enjoy :)

Want to See Film First?

My other half and I have not paid to go to the cinema in several months now, thanks to the discovery of SeeFilmFirst. Over that time we have seen many great films, Death at a Funeral, The Bucket List, The Bank Job, 27 Dresses - to name but a few.

How it works is that that cinemas across the country hold special pre screenings of upcoming films in order to gauge public reaction and the like. They release special codes that you enter into the site, and then you select which cinema you want to go to, how many tickets you want and book em - you then print off the ticket they email you and turn up, hand over the ticket and you are in. Simple as that.

So, go ahead and register at SeeFilmFirst and then when I post the first code you'll be poised and ready to go.

Cashback site - Quidco

The first cashback site I am going to talk about is Quidco, this was the first cashback site I discovered back in November 2007. Since then I have earned almost £300, just through doing my normal shopping and taking advantage of the 'no spend' offers. Quidco makes it money by taking a £5 yearly fee, you don't physically pay any thing, you don't have to enter any card details...they take the money out of your earnings, so if you sign up but then end up not using the site, you won't pay anything. The £5 is completely worth it.

The Good about Quidco.

* SureShop - most merchants are signed up to this, it is quidcos way of ensuring you get your cashback. SureShop merchants have basically agreed to deal with all cashback and enquiries within a timely manner.
* Competitions - Quidco often holds competitions on the blog. From simple leave a comment to enter ones, to more advanced ones such as the 'Christmas Cup' they recently held.
* Lots of Merchants, Best rates around, New merchants constantly being added.
* Easy to use interface

The Bad about Quidco.

* No comments section on the merchants pages - This is a basic feature on most cashback sites for users to leave comments about their experiences with merchants, but quidco doesn't have such a thing.
* No referral rewards - Most cashback sites offer a reward for referring new members, anything from points to £25! Quidco doesn't offer such a thing.

Cashback sites.

Cashback sites are a must have for any respectable bargain hunter. I have been using various ones for 18 months now and I have saved myself, and earned myself £100s.

How they work is that before you buy something, you follow a link from within your account and this sets a cookie, then you get cashback at the rate specified.

But as well as this they often have other ways to make money without having to spend, from referring people to performing searches.

Over the coming weeks I will be recommending some of my favourite cashback sites to you :)

Purpose

I have created this website because I am always coming across great bargains online, and I wanted to be able to share them. As I am in the UK most of the deals I post will be UK based. I am excited about this site and can't wait to start sharing with you, coming really soon will be a great tip on how to go to the cinema for free...and information on getting 50% Haven and Butlins holidays!
